UK Talk

Dear all,

There will be an alumni talk regarding of studying medicine in the UK particularly in the Glasgow University by Lee Kwang Yang this coming Friday (27th May 2011). The details are as followed :

Rotations

Hey guys,
Just a gentle reminder. For people going to kkb, remember to bring your own pillow and blanket.
Please follow imu's dress code.
And finally, if any student wants a key to their hostel, you can pay rm50 (refundable) to ms. Khairun and get a key. Actually they want all students to pay n get a key, but this is not compulsory (or necessary), so that it is convenient for you.

Important Announcements 2!

I will be getting logbooks from AAD which I am suppose to hand it out to everyone after our summative. It seems the logbook will be used during our Gombak/KKB Rotation Posting.
So everyone please gather up in LT1 right after the exam ya.

And heres a small note to all those who are headed for Gombak:

i) Meeting place for IMU students : Seminar Room, Pediatric Ward, 2^nd Floor in the Hospital Building.

ii) Time of attendance : 9.00am

iii) MUST bring with you : Log Book, Lab Coat

iv) Dresscode: IMU Dresscode

Important Annoucements!

I just got these news..

Firstly, Dr JP will be opening Sample Questions for hemato tomorrow.
I was just told during lunchtime tat it will include the ospe, emq, meq n oba.
It'll be good revision n practice so do give it a try when its up.

Secondly, there will be a FEEDBACK SESSION after our summatives at 2.45pm(Friday) in LT1.

Thirdly, this summative results will only be out together with our EOS3 results. Just for those who are curious abt it.

Q&A session updates

Hi guys,
Vik here. Some updates for the q&a session.
Theres ospe for EOS2 on wednesday, so many of the lectureres are busy with that.
so now we'll have q&a on thursday instead.
From 10am to 12pm (we'll try to end before that) Dr. Meena has agreed to do for both gi & hemato. Quoting her " any ques regarding the human body are ok wth me. I cant do insects and plant disease please!"  the venue for this session is the new mms room, beside the cadaver room.

Next, from 12 till 2, Dr. Nilesh has agreed to do anatomy. He mentiond that he will be using the projector, so im guessing (hoping actually) that he'll give some questions.... This will take place in LT1 (because dr.Nilesh reckons all students will come for q&a)

Anyways these are the lecturers i've managed to confirm. I've booked the mms room beside the cadaver room in the mms area (apparent that's what they call it), for the whole day (8am-4pm) so if you guys want any other lecturer, pls let me know.

UiTM Survey Studies

Dear all,

UiTM will be conducting a survey study in our university. They're looking for 5 collaborators to help them out in their studies. There would be data analysis involved, do not worry if you do not know how to conduct a data analysis, the coordinator will guide you all to conduct step-by-step data analysis. The official coordinator would be Dinah from medicine batch semester 4. She will brief you all on what is it about.

What's the fetch to this?

- Collaborators will be listed as co-author in their studies.

- It'll look good in your testimonials

- Gain experience in conducting the studies.

What's the catch to this?

- The survey studies last about 4-6 weeks.
