Don't Give up (repost from MEDT110 wall)

dearest friends&batchmates... (share this)

just a little bit of motivation/advice/encouragement & useful links(i think) for those of you out there who didn't make it this time around if you happen to visit this blog again...

believe me when i say i know its hard. but the most important thing is...
DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! n You're not alone!!!

for those of you who are not aware, there are REMEDIAL CLASSES!!! PLEASE attend it!
SORRY!!! i need to rephrase : REMEDIAL CLASSES ARE A MUST!!!!! acc to my senior, 99.9% of those who do not attend it ended up FAILING!!! so PLEASE ATTEND!!! attendance is taken!
check out noticeboard/ask AAD for details.
it was VERY helpful last year...
all i can say is that its given for a reason(trust me, imu doesn't spend $ without a good reason, haha)

at this point... pls be thick skinned!! DO NOT hesitate to ask for anything. whatever it is: favor. or even questions which you think is stupid. anything. whatever!
call ask sms fb email. ask your friends... or even batchmates whom you've not spoken to before... seniors... mentor... or junior if you need help with sem 1 stuff... or google it... youtube!

btw, about one week b4 eos this year, i discovered that youtube(if you use it WISELY) is an awesome teacher!
use whatever resources available!!!

also ask the lecturers; even those whom you've never spoken to before;
if you don't understand anything at all, even if its BASIC, don't care!! : just ask... n explain yourself sincerely n ask like... "what should i focus on?" n stuff like that... oh well, whether they think you're a good student or not... who cares?! they're not gonna rmb n they don't really know you anyway. too many students in imu ryte.. haha... AND who knows you might just get pointers... n whatever you do get, i urge you to share it! PLEASE. u can add on to this post. support each other in times of need! it is more blessed to give than to receive.

go in groups if you're afraid(shy?) to go alone.
ask the lecturers NICELY if they're setting any exam questions. who knows... some of them may not set any questions ryte... i mean: not everything that we've learnt in classes can come out in exams... so if they're nice enough to tell you, then, great! at least you know what NOT to study.... n i repeat.... pls share.

try studying with other ppl as well... cos for me, last time, i seriously ended up losing motivation when i study alone(by my one person self)... okay, the thing is to seriously NOT give up!!!!

n stay motivated. i was so upset after saq n oba this year n when i didn't feel like studying for ospe...
so i prayed n watched some short vids..
it kinda kept me going for awhile more... n awhile more... n justt awhile more... when i'm just abt to give up!!! esp. the first one. its a clip from the movie 'facing the giants'.

NOW is the most crucial time!
its not too late!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

links i found useful...
http://www.medicalschoolpathology.com/PPTs.htm patho (this was given by vik- TQ!)
only the first few are applicable for foundation2patho
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH0BwlE7WKk&p=15FBE88AF23199C2&playnext=1&index=8 antimicrobial drugs (this one is a lecture... so it's pretty long)

look for whatever you don't understand. n then use, refer and study from your lecture notes.

there are notes, questions and answers available in the vista photocopy shop. it's not too late to get them.
if you really have no time to do the qs, at least read/look thru the questions and ans
some of the notes are simplified by the seniors... like simplified microbacteria in table format.

briefly read thru the summative qs posted in this blog/medt110 wall. its from the same imu qs bank. after all, who's to say the qs won't be repeated?

oh, and remember not too long ago, there was this more than 2Gb mms/ospe pics/questions/files which everybody was lining up to copy with their thumbdrives... if you don't already have it, PLEASE go and get it NOW!!!!! and look through it!!! the pictures do come from there...

dun forget to pay your resit fees too.

here's some quotes for you too...
