NOTICE FROM STUDENT SERVICES

Dear students,

I received an e-mail this morning (31/03/2011) from a member of the public, regarding the
behavior of some of our students. The e-mail reads as follows:

The purpose i write this email to you is want to lodge a complaint to your IMU student.

The incident happened in this morning, 31.3.2011, 7am at McDonald ("MCD") attached
with Petronas Station, Sungai Besi, opposite Novelle Hotel. As we know, MCD is having the
promotion and this morning, there is long queue at the counter. All of us are having patient
to queue up and there is 4 student of IMU is infront of us. After that, there is another batch of
IMU's student reach. One of them, is a girl intend pass the coupon to that 4 IMU's student to
purchase on behalf. When i saw that, i tell her politely with " Can you please queue up?". After
that, i heard some of them decided to queue up.

However, after a while, there is a guy from one of them, pass the coupon to that 4 IMU
student's who queue in front of me and request that 4 student purchase on behalf and some
more add on many order for all of them whose is coming late. Those people who queue up
at the back has started to make noise, included of me. However, i heard that guy said " don't
bother them".

We are so angry on that, every one is queue up patiently and rushing for work. How come they
can cut queue like that? Even through his friend is queue up in front but please think about
those queue up at the back. If they already arrange in earlier, then nothing we can argue, but he
is add on his order afterward which will drag the process of purchase.

In addition, when i took out my handpone, he came and inquired me whether is it i want to
take photo of them, he gave his warning to me which i think is very bad attitude and terrible.
Please think on that, if when you are wrong, you should feel sorry and dare not to go further,
right? But, what is his attitude? He came and challenged me, and even shout to me. Actually, i
intended to forget it when they cut queue. However, when he came to challenge and shout to
me, i decide to write in this email to complaint him.

After this incident, i am totally disappointed on those attitude of undergraduate, they are from
IMU, which could be future doctor or pharmacist, they should have more patient and more ethic
in order for them to carry out their professional career in future. If they did not build up the
correct attitude and ethic at this moment, what would happen in future? Please think in deep on
that.

I do not have intention to ruin his studies as future doctor or pharmacist. I just hope the proper

attitude should be built up right now for their own good in future.

Hopefully some warning will be given to them as i would think he feel i dare not to lodge in
complaint.

As a future healthcare professional you are expected to show a high standard of personal
behavior and professionalism. The good name and reputation of the university and the
students have been tarnished by a handful of these reckless and irresponsible individuals. Let
us all remind ourselves of the need to be always good citizens and behave in a civil and socially
acceptable manner.
